The purpose of the ACERT Judging certification (Level 1) is to ensure a level of consistency of judging at ACERT-related competitions. By certifying as many people as possible consistency will be achieved across the board. Eventually we hope that we can designate one member of each team to be a provider of the workshop and thus be able to certify within their team.

The workshop will cover all aspects of the ACERT Competition Guidelines from the perspective of the judge. It will focus on the skills needed and techniques used to judge competition situations effectively and consistently. In addition to the workshop, a short 25 questions multiple choice test and a practical assessment to be conducted during the ACERT competition at either the MIXER or NCCER will be required for those who wish to be certified.

Participants can also join in on this workshop without certification. Qualifications needed to be certified include current First Aid Instructor certification or equivalent and/or prior experience judging at a competition. If you have questions concerning your eligibility please send an e-mail to info@acert.ca.

Space is limited! Sign up now for the ACERT Judging Certificate Workshop (aka the "CERT cert") at this year's MIXER or NCCER!
