Conference Coordinator

Matthew is the NCCER 2008 Conference Coordinator. He has been on the First Response team for six years as he is currently undertaking his Masters at Trent. Matthew looks forward to a smoothly running conference and wishes all delegates good luck.

Matt Harris

Comp Coordinator

Matt is a Trent Alum; during his time at Trent Matt was on the First Response team for four years and in this time acted as the Training Coordinator for a majority of that time. Matt is currently a first year paramedic student at Fleming College and sits on the ACERT Board of Directors. He has graciously volunteered his time to plan the comp portion of NCCER 2008.

Logistics Assistant

CT is a third year student at Trent. He has been on the First Response team since September and looks forward to an exciting conference.

Liam McGuire

Hospitality - Transportation and Billeting

Liam is a third year student studying in Human Geography and Political Studies. Liam has been on the team for three years and looks forward to NCCER 2008. Please approach Liam for questions or comments regarding billeting.

Javin Lau

Fundraising Coordinator

Javin is a second year student at Trent. He has coordinator the inflow of money to NCCER 2008 so please thank him for a successful conference.

Tom Colucci

Logistics Assistant

Tom is a third year Environmental Studies student originally from Toronto. He is interested in solutions for Climate Change and agricultural issues. He has been on the team since september 2007. He also works for MNR during the summer and is a lifeguard. During the year he works with the Arthur campus newspaper and the Walkhome Program. He is looking forward to being a part of the conference and competing.

Kati O'Sullivan

Hospitality

Kati O'Sullivan is a third year joint Biology English major, who has been part of the Trent First Response Team for three years. Kati also works as a student dispatcher for Trent Campus Security. She has been involved in NCCER from the start, and is the head of meals and social events.

Alaina Leslie

Logistics Coordinator

Alaina is a fourth year Geography student specializing in Urban Planning and Economics. She has been a member of Trent First Response since September and also works at Chapters and the Ministry of Natural Resources. Alaina's experience planning the Trent Model United Nations conference will be an excellent asset at NCCER. Alaina is excited to be on the NCCER planning team and invites delegates to approach her with questions and concerns at any time during the conference.

Thom Mattaccoine

"Thomas is a 2nd year student studying history at Trent University. Thomas joined the Trent University first response team at the beginning of the 2007-2008 school year. Thomas is your totally awesome registration coordinator. He is fond of dinosaurs, and believes that one day, when the cryogenic unfreezing process is perfected; Walt Disney shall walk the earth again making totally amazing family-friendly movies."

Adam Eastman

Competition Coordinator

Adam is a first year Con-Ed Student with a major in History and a minor in Cultural Studies. He has been a member of Trent First Response since September and also teaches first aid at the Trent Atheltics Centre. Adam's experience competing at MIXER, and other first aid comps, has been invaluable in his role as one of the Competition Coordinators.

Matt Hayes

Matthew Hayes is a second year pursuing a joint major in Anthropology and Philosophy, with an emphasis in body modification. He is a member of the Trent First Response Team and hates capitalism. He continuously strives to expand his role as a proletarian to the wider political and social spheres, and makes significant use of shameless self propaganda to publicize his rising pornography publication venture. He also enjoys the company of peanut butter and salted lobster.

Simon Wallace

Seminar Coordinator

Simon Wallace is a fourth year Canadian Studies Major. He has been a member of Trent's First Response Team for four years, and for one of

those years was the Personnel Coordinator. Over the summer he worked at Canada's Wonderland as an Emergency Medical Responder. Simon has

planned three Canadian Studies undergraduate conferences and looks forward to starting a Master's Degree in Labour Studies in September.

Ayad Sbeyti

Logisitcs Co-Coordinator

Ayad is a Political Studies student specializing in Law and Constitutional Issues. He has been a member of the First Response team since January 2007. Ayad is a transfer student from Lebanon where he worked for the Lebanese Red Cross and attended University for two years. At the Lebanese Red Cross Ayad was working as a Financial Officer in Beirut liasoning with over 20 centers all over the country as well as first aid and social / humanitarian activities. Ayad's experience from the Lebanese Red Cross in terms of financial planning and love for first aid will hopefully help him make the conference a great success. He looks forward to welcoming everyone and making sure everyone has everything they need to have a fun and exciting conference.
