Joining the Association of Campus Emergency Response Teams of Canada (ACERT) connects your organization to a national network of campus emergency response leaders committed to advancing student safety, operational excellence, and collaboration. Whether your team is well established or just getting started, membership provides access to valuable resources, professional development opportunities, and a community of peers from across the country.

Every ACERT Member Receives

All ACERT members enjoy access to a wide range of benefits designed to support the growth and success of campus emergency response organizations.

• National Network – Connect with campus emergency response teams from post-secondary institutions across Canada to share knowledge, ideas, and best practices.

• Educational Resources – Access templates, policies, operational resources, and guidance developed by experienced campus response teams.

• Professional Development – Participate in webinars, workshops, and educational sessions covering topics relevant to campus emergency response and organizational leadership.

• Collaboration & Mentorship – Learn from established teams, exchange ideas, and collaborate on initiatives that strengthen campus emergency response nationwide.

• National Conferences & Events – Attend ACERT events and the National Collegiate Conference on Campus Emergency Response (NCCER) to build skills and connect with peers.

Full Membership

In addition to all standard member benefits, Full Members receive:

• Voting privileges at ACERT General Meetings.

• Eligibility to serve on the ACERT Board of Directors.

• Eligibility for ALL ACERT awards and leadership recognition.

• The opportunity to help shape ACERT’s strategic direction, policies, and future initiatives.

• Full participation in the governance and decision-making of the Association.

Associate Membership

Associate Members receive all standard membership benefits while becoming part of Canada’s campus emergency response community.

Associate Membership is ideal for developing teams, international organizations, and allied organizations that wish to learn, collaborate, and build connections with established campus emergency response teams.

Please note that Associate Members do not hold voting privileges or eligibility to serve on the Board of Directors.

Full Members pay annual dues of $100 CAD (or $400/5 years), and associate members pay $30 annually. These fees go towards maintaining and growing ACERT’s archive of resources, website management, organizational fees, and assists host teams with NCCER finances.  If your team cannot afford the membership fee but is still interested in joining ACERT, please contact us at info@acert.ca to discuss your options.
