What to Expect at the NCCER Conference & Competition

The NCCER Conference & Competition is a multi-day event combining professional development, hands-on competition, and opportunities to connect with campus emergency response teams from across the country.

Attendees can expect:

  • Responder Development Workshops & Speakers
    A full program of keynote speakers and interactive workshops focused on responder education, communication, leadership, and professional growth. Sessions are designed for responders of all experience levels and provide practical skills applicable to campus emergency response.

  • Round Robin First Aid Competition
    All competing teams will participate in a round robin first aid competition featuring realistic, scenario-based emergency responses. Teams rotate through multiple stations and are evaluated on clinical skills, teamwork, communication, and professionalism.

  • Mass Casualty Incident (MCI) Scenario
    The top-ranking teams from the round robin will advance to a large-scale mass casualty incident simulation. This high-intensity scenario tests triage, prioritization, leadership, and team coordination in a dynamic environment. Non-qualifying delegates are welcome to observe.

  • Semi-Formal Banquet & Awards Ceremony
    A semi-formal evening banquet will be held to celebrate the conference and recognize outstanding achievements. Awards will be presented for competition performance and other acknowledgements. This event is an opportunity to relax, network, and celebrate the campus response community.
